Who?What?When?Where?Why?
For or more than a month now, I've been telling folks about Travel Thursdays with Nancy! And with this week being the first episode of the series and so few people registered, I find myself confused. There must be a reason why more people aren't signing up!
I can't imagine why people who may have any interest in travel whatsoever aren't flocking to register. Free information about travel opportunities?! Yes! That's all this series really is! Do I hope you decide to book a trip with me? Of course I do. For a couple of reasons. Sure, there's the business element, which is important only to me. But if you're going to book with me, I really would like you to know what I bring to the table.
I work tirelessly for my clients and completely invest myself into being a truly dedicated advocate for them. Just ask hubby, he'll tell you the lengths I've gone to. Check me out on Vacation.com if you'd like. You'd see my all show very happy customers who recognize great customer service! **That's the who...who I am as a travel professional.
However, the most important reason I'm hosting these Travel Thursday webinars is to educate. If you rarely travel, you don't really know what's out there. Hell, even if you do travel quite a bit, you may want to broaden your horizons. This series gives you an hour to discover something new each week. In these webinars you'll see slides and/or watch videos, hear expert commentaries and even have an opportunity to ask questions. You learn about the EXPERIENCE and you do so from the comfort of home or wherever your phone takes you. (You have the option of signing in through your phone as well as on your computer or tablet.) **That's the why and the where...to educate and from anywhere you have a phone signal or internet connection.
Let's say you've only done land-based vacations in the past and you think you may want to try a cruise. That's great, I have webinars on ocean, river and steamboat cruises on my schedule! On the other hand, maybe you've only ever cruised and want to try a land based vacation. Great! All-inclusives, tour companies and destination specialists are also on the schedule! **What the webinar series will cover
So why aren't people flocking to register? I know intellectually that when something like this first starts, things can move rather slowly in word getting out. But maybe registration is slow because it's new to most people. Untried. Intimidating.
I promise you, it's really none of the above...and I speak as the least tech-savvy person I know! The process to become a registered attendant is really very easy. I'll post the link below and if you want to attend, just follow these instructions:
You'll see a blue link with a long number at the end, that's one link to register through. In the case of an invitation via email or on social media, there will also be a box with a bold headline which briefly describes the event, if you click that box it also takes you to the registration page. Once on the registration page there will be a few fields you'll need to fill out. First and last names and your email address, I believe. Fill the required fields out and click the "Register" button beneath. You'll receive an email confirming that you've registered and you'll even be get an email the day before so you don't forget! **That covers how
Finally, a bit of housekeeping about registering. Even if you're unsure you can actually attend, register anyway. Everyone registered for the event will be sent a copy of the webinar in an email the next day. This is to refer back to if it's an opportunity you were interested in or if you missed something and want to review...or in the case of those who cannot attend, to review at your leisure. (I don't suggest holding off too long in getting around to it though, some offers may be time sensitive.)Speaking of which, some of our speakers will be offering discounts or prizes or some such. In most cases, these offers remain open by having been registered even if you could not attend. **A little more why thrown in for good measure
